Why Choose Goodtill?

We’d love to be your EPOS partner – here’s why we think we’re a bit different.

Single Platform Approach
Single Platform Approach

It’s tough out there – being a pure-play retailer or hospitality player can be challenging. That’s why wine merchants are providing food, cafes are selling grinders and restaurants are adding delis. Other industries, like leisure, entertainment and sport, have always had multi-purpose POS environments.

We don’t think you should be restricted to retail-only or to need to buy two systems. And we believe that how you want to use EPOS is more important than your vertical. That’s why, regardless of the industry you’re in, or the use case, there’s only one Goodtill.

Fit for Purpose

Goodtill is designed to be used primarily in simple deployment scenarios in standalone, multi-site or distributed environments. We focus on the SME market or enterprises with simple, standard set-ups. We don’t concern ourselves with building functionality for mega-corporates, because most of you don’t need that functionality, so why should you pay for it anyway?

We also know that in those simpler deployments, even if you have hundreds of them, you may lack the expensive inventory management and reporting software that the corporates use. That’s why we bake-in a whole lot of easy-to-use and powerful features, out-of-the-box, to make you more competitive.

We want to be at the heart of your business, giving you powerful tools to help you grow and develop. But we know that Goodtill is only one piece in a larger puzzle. That’s why we’ve written our own API and published integration guidelines so that third party software platforms can integrate to us quickly and easily.

That’s why we have some niche integrations that some others lack. It means that, if you have specialist requirements and line-of-business software that’s mission-critical, we may be able to provide a custom integration solution. Ultimately, we can be open and flexible – tuned to your business – and others can’t. That’s the Goodtill way.

British-based Team

We’re delighted to be a British tech success story and our customers tend to come from the English-speaking world. More importantly, we’re based in Central London, one of the world’s premier tourist destinations, rammed-full of coffee shops, boutiques, sports teams, museums and other places to have fun. So we’re surrounded by our own customers and tapped into the market.

Even more importantly, we have a second office with our development team. It’s all done in-house, no outsourcing, all by a British team. So we’re local to our customers and we’re more responsive, as we control our own destiny. We also have an office in Ireland with more expansion to come.

Customer-led Development

If you’ve already read our Origin Story, you’ll know that our technical director worked in both retail and hospitality. So the Goodtill approach was partly based on his experiences and time in your shoes. When we persuaded the first few Goodtill customers to take a chance on us, they helped to shape Ani’s vision and turn it into something powerful yet simple.

Now, as then, we’re led by our customers and your ever-changing needs. Sometimes we give you stuff you didn’t ask for as we want to be innovative too and break new ground. But mainly we’re focused on continuing to help you grow with elegant, intuitive and user-friendly software.

Service-led Culture

Since we started Goodtill back in 2014, we always wanted to stand out from the crowd thanks to our people. Having a great product that represents strong value isn’t enough for us. Being trusted to be provide the technology that powers our customers’ businesses is a humbling thing so we make sure that our culture reflects that.

We take a consultative approach pre-order with no hard-sale tactics – it’s important to get the relationship started on the right footing. After that, we hand-hold through implementation to get it right and make sure we’re there for in-life support if you need us. Ultimately, our teams are driven to deliver a great service experience at all times.
